My name is Brook Willeford, and I’m running for re-election to the South Whidbey School District Board of Directors, Position 3. I was born and raised on South Whidbey, and I’m a proud graduate of the South Whidbey School District and Carleton College. I co-own The Clyde Theatre with my father, Blake Willeford, and raise my 7-year-old daughter Hazel with my wife Katja.
I’m running for School Board because I want Hazel to be as proud of her South Whidbey education as I am of mine.
We’ve done some great work over the last four years, but I believe that there is still work to do. Between policies, goals for the district, budgeting, and the bond proposal, we have the process underway to create a district where students and staff feel like they belong.
